Empowering Youth, Preparing Leaders, Impacting Central America for God's Purpose

Our Vision

IMC’s vision is to connect the Latin American Church with the global mission to effectively share the gospel message of Jesus and to make disciples of all nations and, as a result, see people, communities, and nations transformed entirely.

Why this Mission and this Vision?

Why? We believe in empowerment and encouragement and that our strength and refuge is in the Lord. Psalm 46:1-3.

We believe that God never abandons us and gives us hope regardless of the circumstances surrounding us. Jeremiah 29:11.

We are passionate about reaching out to those who are economically disadvantaged but can find deliverance from their hopelessness because the Lord alone is their stronghold in time of trouble and only He delivers, helps, and restores. Psalm 37: 39-40.

We believe that we are called as fellow Christians to stretch out our hands and hearts to be spiritual brothers and sisters to people groups regardless of color, economic status, failed pasts, and broken dreams. We are called to put our hope in the Lord and to focus on what God can and will do. Romans 8:8:1-2, Psalm 130:7, and Philippians 4:8.

We believe that we who have been discipled have a responsibility to train others to disciple in order to develop, motivate, and mentor young people and grow leaders within the Hispanic community. Hebrews 10:24-25, 2 Timothy 2:2, 1 Peter 3:15.

We believe that spiritual transformation and empowerment must take place within the person’s culture and with respect, rather than disregard, for the culture’s unique contributions and strengths. We further believe that mission programs are more impactful when the leadership and discipleship training comes from within the ethnic community rather than from the imposition of the North American culture. This requires humility within ourselves, genuine respect for diversity, and authentic concern for others, and a willingness to listen. I Corinthians 10:24, Philippians 2:3-7, I Thessalonians 5:11.

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
Colossians 3:17.
